In this tutorial,i'll be teaching you how to burn a compact disk using window xp.
Windows XP comes with a built in CD copy function that few people realize.
Although almost everyone has a CD copy-software which also works fine, it's good to know about this feature of Windows XP CDR.
You will find it useful when you want to operate another PC with no CD copy software and you can not install your favorite software for it.
This feature allows you to write data or MP3 files on a CD/DVD or erase a rewritable CD/DVD.
If you use a rewritable CD (CD-RW), make sure the disk is empty. You will need to delete or format before using it.
For more information on how to erase a CD-RW in Windows XP without using other software.
You should take a CD-R drive in Windows XP.
Insert a CD or a rewritable format recordable CDs (CD-R)disc into the CD drive.
In desktop, double click "My Computer" and browse till you locate the file/folder you want to copy to a CD.
The file/folder will appear as temporary files/folders now.On the left hand-side,select "Write these files to a CD".
Window "CD Wizard" displays by default the name of the CD.
Next, change the name of the CD,if you like, then click "Next".
Wizard "Burn CD" will start writing the file/ folder on the CD.
That's all.
